Samantha Calvao, Associate
Samantha Calvao, Associate

Samantha started her career as a paraprofessional at Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. Sam, who has deep roots in Western Massachusetts, was also recently awarded the PwC, LLP Scholarship by the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. 


In her new role as an associate, she will be taking on more responsibility in both the tax and audit departments.  She states that she is most looking forward to “growing as a professional, working on more complicated engagements, and helping to mentor the new interns at MBK”. 


Samantha received her associate degree in accounting from Holyoke Community College and her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern New Hampshire. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).


Andrea Latour, Associate
Andrea Latour, Associate

Andrea began her career with Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. in February of 2011. She primarily focuses on client bookkeeping and write-up work including monthly reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and quarterly payroll returns, and tax filings (meals and sales tax filings). Additionally, she prepares corporate and personal tax returns.   


As an associate, she is most looking forward to expanding the bookkeeping service line and continuing to be a valuable resource for clients and colleagues.    


Andrea received her associate degree from Becker College. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).


Mallory, Beauregard, Senior Associate
Mallory Beauregard, Senior Associate

Mallory began her career with Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C., and has been a valuable member of the MBK team for three years.  She works on a diverse range of engagements including not-for-profit, commercial, and review and compilation engagements. She believes that friendly and timely communication is essential to providing quality customer service. 


Regarding her new role as a senior associate, she states “I am thrilled to take on more responsibility. My new role positions me to have more client interaction, build rapport with clients, mentor new hires, and expand my service with niche administration for reviews and compilations”. 


Mallory received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is currently studying for her Master of Business Administration at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).


Olivia Calcasola, Senior Associate

Olivia has been a member of the taxation department at Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. (MBK) for one year. Prior to MBK, she worked for two years as a senior corporate tax associate for a Boston-based firm. Olivia brings a strong sense of service to MBK, with the view that great customer service stems from a complete understanding of the client’s needs and wants, inside and out.  


In her new role as a senior associate, she will be working on larger, multi-state returns and strengthening her niche in business taxation.  She is most looking forward to expanding her expertise in these areas and having the opportunity to develop stronger client relationships. 


Olivia holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).

Lauren started her journey with accounting at Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. in 2020. She focuses on commercial and individual tax returns as well as compilation and review engagements. 


In her new role as a senior associate, she states “I am most excited for the opportunity to have more responsibilities within the firm and to take on a bigger role at the company as a mentor. My goal as a senior is to meet our clients' expectations, be a resource to them and get to know them on a personal level. I also want to take the knowledge that I have learned in the past two years and pass it on to younger staff. My goal is to be an asset to the team and our clients”.


Lauren graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).


Keara Moulton, Senior Associate

Keara began her career with Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. as a tax intern in January 2020 and has been with the firm for three years.  In addition to being a valued member of the tax department, Keara is a leader in the firm for various community service and corporate culture initiatives. 


As a senior associate, Keara shared that she is excited to be working on more complex tax returns and helping clients prepare for deadlines throughout the year. In addition, she plans to expand her knowledge in the firm’s Cannabis niche by working with experienced reviewers to prepare these returns under the new Massachusetts guidance.  


Keara received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Sports Management from Elms College, Summa Cum Laude, and is currently studying for the CPA exam. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).


Kelly Moulton, Senior Associate
Kelly Moulton, Senior Associate

Kelly has worked in public accounting since 2020.  At the firm, she works on a diverse range of engagements including accounting and audit, not-for-profit, and HUD engagements. She approaches her work at Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. with enthusiasm.


In her new role as a senior associate, she will be leading more engagements as an “in-charge” and also be taking on more Detail Review.  When asked what she is most looking forward to in her new role, she states that she is excited to grow within the nonprofit and HUD niches.  


Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management & Accounting from Elms College and is a candidate for an MBA in Accounting at Fitchburg State. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).



Francine Murphy, Senior Associate
Fran Murphy, Senior Associate

Fran joined MBK in 2013, with significant tax preparation experience and a special focus in tax preparation for not-for-profit organizations and individuals. She will be taking on a larger leadership role with the firm’s tax-exempt clients, preparing larger 990 returns, and reviewing smaller tax-exempt clients. She will also have more opportunities to assist with tax planning & tax projection projects for a wide breadth of clients and prepare more complex corporate consolidated returns.

 

In her new role as a senior associate, Fran states “I am looking forward to taking on a larger leadership role with our nonprofit clients. Being able to 'give back' is something that has always been important to me. And, while I'm not actually contributing in the typical sense, I feel like the service I am able to provide allows the organizations to spend less time gathering detail for the tax prep and more time focusing on their mission”.

 

Fran holds an associate degree in accounting from Holyoke Community College and is a candidate for a Bachelor of Accounting from Westfield State University.  She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).


Sarah Rose Stack, Director of Marketing and Recruiting
Sarah Rose Stack, Director of Marketing

Sarah Rose joined Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. (MBK) in early 2020 to spearhead its marketing and recruiting efforts. With over 15 years of digital marketing, design, and communications experience, she brought a unique perspective to the firm and attracted new talent. From a fresh new social media strategy, revamped digital presence, community involvement, thought leadership, and more; her goal is to connect MBK to Western Massachusetts through staff involvement and amplified messaging.


In her new role as a Director, she will be expanding the marketing department, enhancing the niche-development program at MBK, and developing a new marketing advisory service line. When asked what she is most excited about for her new role, she states “I am excited to take the firm’s digital communication to the next level by becoming a top resource for clients, colleagues, and peers alike. I am eager to implement a plan that sets the bar in digital communication, while also having the opportunity to advise clients on how to do the same”. 


Sarah Rose earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is a candidate for a Master of Arts in Communication with two concentrations: Digital Communication; Corporate and Nonprofit Communication, from Johns Hopkins University. She is a current member of the Association for Accountant Marketing, The American Marketing Association, and CPAmerica. She is the marketing committee co-chair for the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

February 7, 2025 FinCEN will consider changes to the BOI reporting requirements if a court grants the government's request for a stay of a nationwide injunction in a Texas case, according to a motion filed Wednesday, February 5th. If the stay is granted, FinCEN will extend BOI filing deadlines for 30 days, the government said in its filing in Samantha Smith and Robert Means v. U.S. Department of the Treasury, No. 6:24-CV-336 (E.D. Texas 1/7/25). BOI reporting is currently voluntary, pending further legal developments. Businesses and stakeholders should stay alert for additional updates as the situation evolves
