With over 70 years of experience, we have not only seen it all; we’ve been through it all. Meyers Brothers Kalicka is affiliated with CPAmerica International, one of the world’s largest networks of independent CPA and consulting firms.

History of MBK

In 1948, two separate accounting firms were formed: Meyers Brothers and Joseph Kalicka and Co. both firms grew substantially to become industry leaders in Western Massachusetts. To provide even better service and depth of resources to businesses and organizations in the area, Meyers Brothers and Joseph Kalicka and Co. merged in 2004 to become Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. Today, MBK remains the largest public accounting firm in Western Mass, providing excellent technical expertise and advisory to business and non-profit organizations in New England and beyond.

Our mission is to provide knowledge and resources to our clients, colleagues and community that enable them to grow and thrive in Western Massachusetts. We have the depth to provide a quality team to every client. We have the drive to deliver an excellent work product, every time. And we have the experience to solve our clients accounting and financial goals.

“In 2011, as most of us locally know, we had a tornado that literally ripped Square One out of the ground. It decimated our location on Main Street in Springfield. Following the tornado in November of 2012, there was a gas explosion here in Springfield and unfortunately Square One Center was destroyed.

And so, in 18-months, Square One lost two of its most profitable Child Care Centers and recovering from that loss required a great deal of strategic planning but lots of financial expertise. MBK really stepped up to the plate and that required additional effort on their part they didn't necessarily sign up or know when they were engaging with Square One that we would have a tornado and a gas explosion within 18 months but they didn't shy away from the challenge”.
